Countries I’ve been to

THIS IS MY MISSION: Travel to 25 Countries before I turn 25. (MISSION COMPLETE!)

So far, I travelled to countries in North America, Africa, Asia and Europe. The list of countries are below and click on the country to see my posts about it. I’m writing a destination series each week where I try to summarise the trips I’ve done in the past.

As of August 2012, I’ve travelled to 26 countries and finished my goal on June 2012.

    Hi Jerick,
I stumbled upon your blog when I googled for Filipino travel bloggers. I only realized that you’re someone I know from UP MCO when I’ve already read four of your posts. Your popular entries “Confessions…” and “Secrets..” are really awe-inspiring. I’m an avid blog reader myself but I haven’t mustered enough dedication to maintain a blog. Coming across yours is such a wonderful discovery! Congratulations to the near-completion of your goal :)

Hi Jerrick, awesome article. I am stumble by your blogs. You’re a great blogger, i have been travelling around also, this year i’ve been to HK-Macau, Vietnam (2x), and Cambodia, and local destinations like Caramoan, Cebu, Bohol and Boracay. I’ve been to Brunei Darussalam also last 2009 traveled thru Kota Kinabalu (since no CebuPac yet to Bandar Seri). I am also thinking to do blogging but i don’t know yet where to start. LOL.. Long team backpacking? That’s very interesting! But blogging must comes first to document my travel experience then backpacking should be next in line. I am planning to explore more Asian countries for 2012. Yes your right! Travelling does not need to be expensive! Good luck for your future plans.. I’ll keep on following your blogs.

Kainggit ka naman pre..at your age you’ve been to a lot of places. I’m a late bloomer in terms of traveling, hope to explore 40 or more countries before I turn 40. Currently naka 3 country pa lang ako.haha My plan is to roam 21 European countries by Eurail (Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden , Switzerland, and Turkey) 5-6 years from now:)

    • Jerick says:

Salamat! Travelling for all ages and admire you for putting it as a priority in life! Good luck with the Eurail and let me know if you need some tips in doing all EU countries! :)

    Hello Jerrick!

Just happen to stumble upon your blog and I’m very impressed. Read all your blog posts and I’m inspired by your article You don’t have to be rich to see the world. This means so much to me! A lot of my friends don’t want to travel due to financial constraints but I always tell them there are a lot of cheap flights and accommodations which they can avail. By not traveling, they are missing a lot!

I’ve started to do a lot of traveling this year. For 2011, been to Australia, HK-Macau and this September, I’m going to South Korea.

All the best for you Jerrick! And sana next destinations mo would be Africa and South America! Good luck! Can’t wait to read your next blog posts! :-)

    • Jerick says:

Thank you Joyce, I really appreciate your feedback. :-) Made my day! Indeed, I really want to inspire people to travel and see the world, and hope that through my travels – I’ll be able to do that. :-)

You are right, there are lots of cheap flights and accommodations available, so finances are not really an excuse.

Best wishes on your travels! My parents are actually going to South Korea on January and maybe you can help me with tips once you get back.

      Happy travels!

if you had a free ticket to go anywhere for your 26th country….where would that be?!

    • Jerick says:

Interesting, I would say to Peru to begin my South American journey! I haven’t been to South America and for Filipinos, it’s like going to the moon when you go there.

  10. Sophia says:

    Go Jerick!

Nakakatuwa naman tong blog mo. All the best! I’d love to see you accomplish your goal. Is Brazil or Africa on your list to go to? I’d love to read up on it. Go lang ng go!

    • Jerick says:

thanks Ate Soph! :-) of course, both are on my list – I’ve been to Morocco in Africa already, pero syempre I want to explore the continent more!

  11. Bama says:

    Hi Jerick!
Indonesia is just a Cebu-Pacific-flight-away from The Philippines, why don’t you try it? :)
What I’m doing right now is pretty similar with you. My travels are usually just weekend excursions, or a few days leave from work for top-of-the-list places.
Good luck with your 25 travels!

    • Jerick says:

      Hi Bama!

Yes, I’ve always wanted to visit Indonesia. :-) I’ve actually listed it as one of the countries that I want to visit to complete my 25-country goal.

Anyway, it’s great that you are travelling too – and don’t worry about doing weekend excursions, the important thing is your taking steps to discover new places and people! I do that too, but I’m hoping to do long-term backpacking soon – just need to save money in order to do that!

Visit the Philippines too! As you said, it’s only a short flight away!

      • Bama says:

Actually I have visited Manila in April this year. But I’d love to visit other parts of The Philippines one day (especially Palawan Island!). Oh and by the way, I’m also thinking and planning to do long-term backpacking too!

        • Jerick says:

Nice! you should definitely go out of Manila, there’s so much to see around! Great for thinking long-term backpacking, it will be an awesome experience! keep us posted! :)

  12. Armi says:

I just saw this blog! Go Jerick, 4 more to go. Will make a list of my own after this comment. :)

  13. Lara says:

China and Thailand are pretty close to the Philippines and pretty affordable to visit. You could probably go to either on a long weekend. Good luck!

    • Jerick says:

Thanks Lara! Yes, I have tickets book to go to Thailand in November for Loy Krathong – so it should help out on list!

I also want to go to China and definitely I’m considering arranging a trip there too. :)

  14. cindy says:

    Hi Jerick,
Yup you can totally do it. Only 4 more to go in 2 year deadline. When I was your age, I just started to pack my pack to visit the 1st European country.

Also, doing what you do, you have much more flexibility to travel around.
    Good luck and have fun.
    Cindy

    • Jerick says:

Thanks Cindy! It will really depend if I get to go back to Europe soon, I realised that it’s a bit tough to travel if I’m coming from the Philippines!

Hoping as well to travel beyond the cities i’ve visited, I’m sure there’s more to see than the capitals!

thanks and best on your travels as well.
      Jerick
